Alexus Anderson awarded Diverse International Women of Color study abroad scholarship

Alexus Anderson, a University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC) student, has been awarded a Diverse International Women of Color (DIWC) study abroad scholarship for Spring 2024. She is a junior at Georgia State University (GSU) and will be attending the USAC Gwangju program in South Korea

USAC was the first study abroad organization to partner with the DIWC at its founding in 2018 and has committed to financially match DIWC scholarships to support students on their study abroad journey. In total, from DIWC and USAC, Anderson will receive $1,000 in scholarship funds to put towards her study abroad costs.   

Six students were awarded a DIWC scholarship for the Spring 2024: 
·        Alexus Anderson (pictured), junior at Georgia State University 
·        Kayla Tipton, junior at Trinity College 
·        Amina Anshasi, junior at The University of San Francisco 
·        Autumn Thompson, graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin 
·        Ami Spencer, junior at Northern Arizona University 
·        Lessie Willborn, junior at Cottey College
