Elle Hutton ’25 Wins Wrestling State Championship

Elle Hutton ’25 won a state title at the NYSPHSAA Girls’ Wrestling Invitational on Friday at SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College.

Columbia High school junior Elle Hutton ’25 won a state championship at the NYSPHSAA Girls’ Wrestling Invitational on Friday at SRC Arena at Onondaga Community College. Hutton won all four of her matches in her weight class to become Columbia’s first female wrestling state champion.

Three of Hutton’s teammates also competed at the state championships. Bella Satalino won three matches and finished runner-up in her weight class. She is now a two-time NYSPHSAA All American (Top 6 Place finisher).

Kiara Murdi experienced her first state level competition and did very well in going 2-2, and making it all the way to the blood round (placement round qualifier / Top 8).

Senior Emily Brown also competed very well in her debut at the state championships.
